When health fails and spirit wanes, this is the time for reinforcement. As a community of believers we are to prefer one another. Let us constantly be on watch for those who could appreciate a home-cooked meal, a card, a phone call or a visit.
It is true that God is our strength. Don’t forget to ask for help: from God and the church. I believe that he cherishes our prayers. When we love our Brothers and Sisters…becoming the “hands and feet of Jesus,” he smiles.
The community is also for loving the unlovable. We are told to pray for our enemies and lend to those who cannot repay. Give us strength to see people through the eyes of God. Mercy and peace.
