In 2 Timothy, Chapter 2, the Apostle Paul talks about the faithfulness of God, even when we are unfaithful.
When I argue with others, I may be exhibiting unfaithfulness. Why?! If I am arguing with others, then I am not believing that God is “large and in charge.” I am not suggesting that we should not ask for our needs with others. What matters is the “persistence” we use in the endeavor.
The other side of the coin is the quarreling “other.” Later in the same Chapter, Paul suggests that if another is in error, then the person should be taught gently, so as to leave the door open for a changed heart, leading to repentance.
